SBTFI Ambassadors

Nathanael Hanson Owner of XVU Systems
At Standby to Fly, creativity and storytelling are central to how we connect with our community and share our mission. Nathanael plays a vital role in that creative effort, capturing the heart of our events and the spirit of our volunteers and veterans through his videography.
His work—woven into the broader creative contributions of our team—helps showcase not just what we do, but why it matters. Whether it’s the action of match day or the quiet power of behind-the-scenes moments, Nathanael’s lens brings it all to life in a way that deepens connection and inspires support.
We’re honored to have Nathanael serve as an Ambassador for Standby to Fly, and we’re grateful for the passion, professionalism, and perspective he brings to everything he creates.
"I love learning about people and their stories. I started working with them during their second annual event when I created a highlight video of the weekend. Since then, I’ve been able to continue to tell many stories revolving around the Standby to Fly Initiative team and the causes they raise money for. I feel super blessed to be chosen as an ambassador for their mission and look forward to continuing to work together to help raise money for veterans who have given so much."

Jim Stout - Ambassador & Mentor
Hi, my name is Jim Stout. I first got involved with Standby To Fly back in 2019, their first benefit match. At the time I was just shooting in the match and had not yet volunteered. The following year I started helping out in preparation for the match. As the match has grown in popularity so has the work load to get everything done before match date. Props need to be repaired and built. There is always plenty to do and that work starts months in advance.
It was evident from the beginning that Standby To Fly was laser focused on helping out deserving veteran non profits. This came home to roost when one of the benefactors would be The Summit Project, a non profit that is close to mine and my wife’s heart. Her son, my stepson, is one of the heroes that is honored along with all the Gold Star families that lost a loved one post 911 while serving their country.
I have been honored to be one of the many volunteers that help make the Standby To Fly Initiative a success.
